Sorry I’ve been away for a while – had the flu only to get over it and hit my fall allergies so I haven’t felt like much but I caught up on sleep.
Now I’m trying to catch up on my TV shows and I’m VERY disappointed.
Let’s start with TNT. I saw that they were putting episodes on Angel online. This is a show that hasn’t been on since 2004 and TNT relegates it to that prime 5-7 AM slot. Well, I thought I’d see what they had to offer since they’re currently showing some of the not-so-good episodes. What do I get? First off I have to install some special movie viewer for the TNT site only to find out that they are just offering for, as near as I can tell, random episodes. Why would they even advertise this?
Now let’s go to CBS. I wanted to watch some episodes of How I Met Your Mother. First off, it’s near impossible to find anything but clips and when you try to pull up season 3 episodes you just get an error. I finally just gave up and mailed them.
Not only that, but ever tried to skip to a particular part of an episode? I understand the need for commercials on the web video but if I miss the part I want I’ve got to watch the stupid commercial again.
No wonder Tivo is doing so well…
