Media bias? Sure! Why? Because we’re biased

This is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I’ve read in a while. After arguing with a friend (who says there is no bias here, nothing to see, move along now) he sends me this link explaining why there’s media bias against McCain. It has been a long time since I’ve seen someone use that much doublespeak to explain something.

A review of Max Payne

I finally got to see the Max Payne movie last night. I must admit I liked it but I’m hardly unbiased. Max Payne is my second favorite game of all time and I’ve probably played through it seven times. One thing about movies based on games is that they stink. Max Payne seemed like it was suited to be made into a movie since it basically was a combination of The Matrix and a John Woo film and it was pretty good. It was exceptionally good for a movie based on a game.

The importance of alarms

Sorry for the light posting lately but I’ve been out of town at my HS reunion and then came back to find myself “sick”. Turns out I wasn’t actually sick. I felt tired and sluggish, as well as losing my appetite and having a couple of bouts of disorientation. Unfortunately it coincided with my flu shot so I wrote it off as a flu shot reaction.

I waas hoping that Bama would jump up to #1 after Oklahoma’s loss. They currently look like the best team right now but Texas won’t last anyway. They’re schedule is too tough.

Sadly, Vandy lost for the first time this season but still have a very good chance for a bowl.

After the historic $700 billion bailout to save the stock market we have drops of 370 points yesterday and 400 today. Good plan, guys…let’s add this to some other historically good plans:

1. Siding with Italy in a conflict
2. Godfather 3? Can’t miss
3. Cop Rock? Great idea
4. Russia? Wintertime? An invasion can’t possibly fail

Here’s a hint : it’s dead if you’re walking onto a car lot and trying to roll $8000 from a previous car loan into a new loan with no down payment and looking at a 15% interest loan. Nobody wants to make this because they aren’t getting paid back.

Show up on a lot with a good down payment and no other debt and you’ll be fine because you will actually pay it back (or better – buy a cheaper car with that down payment)
