$111 Million in Stimulus Money Given to L.A. has Only Created 55 Jobs
In reading this was struck me was not how wasted the money was but this little tidbit :
The Department of Transportation was awarded $40.8 million and has created or retained 9 jobs, although there should ultimately be 26.
So that would have been an improvement. Spending $40.8 million to created 26 jobs makes each job worth 1.569 million.
I’m not a business major, but I think I can find a way to hire someone for less than that.
